History of the breed
The Skye Terrier corresponds to a breed of very ancient Scottish origin . Formerly known as the West Island Terrier, the Skye Terrier descends in particular from the Cairn Terrier. Among the representatives of the breed, the most famous is certainly Greyfriars Bobby , passed down to posterity for having watched over the grave of his late master until his own death in the district of Greyfriars Churchyard in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 1858.

Physical features
