Love strangers |
The Podenco Ibicenco is a dog combining all the qualities of a rabbit and hare hunter without a gun, even at night. Relying on a flair and a particularly powerful hearing, it evolves easily in packs on condition of not putting too many males in competition. At home and with the family, Podenco Ibicenco displays a balanced temperament . He is attached to his master and naturally suspicious of strangers , without however being an exceptional guardian. It is especially the hunting skills of the Podenco Ibicenco that are sought and developed.

Education

Obedient |
As with any hunting dog, acquiring the booster from an early age is of utmost importance. His enthusiasm at work and his desire to learn are to be exploited in his education, through positive reinforcement techniques . It is thus a question of betting on the encouragements and the rewards, while excluding the brutality which could hurt the sensitivity of this dog.
