The origins of the Grand Griffon Vendéen are very old. This dog is one of the descendants of the Grand Vendéen , himself heir to the king’s clerks and white dogs. The Grand Griffon Vendéen has also benefited from the contributions of the Gris de Saint-Louis and the Griffon de Bresse.

Physical features

His ears: not very thick, not very wide, flexible, with oval ends, set low (below the line of the eyes).
His eyes: large, dark in color and very lively.
