Missing or dead cats, injured dog… Serious incidents affecting animals transported by plane at Orly and Roissy airports have prompted owners and associations to react. One of the victims is a cat named Minus, not found for more than 2 weeks.

The Stéphane Lamart association sent a letter to the management of ADP ( Aéroports de Paris ) to denounce the increase in incidents – including fatal cases – which recently occurred in the transport operations of pets, mostly cats and dogs .

The Zadig cat, disappeared on August 1

Minus, still untraceable

A positive outcome that Nathalie Martins would like to know, who also congratulated the association on her page.

The young woman has, in fact, no more news of her 4-year-old cat, Minus , since Sunday, August 25 . That evening, she was returning from vacation from Portugal aboard a plane from the company Transavia , a low-cost subsidiary of the Air France-KLM group . Minus had, in principle, made the trip inside his box, in the hold. However, an hour after their arrival in Orly , he was told that the feline had simply disappeared , as reported by France Bleu .

ADP gave him an empty crate , along with the animal’s collar , telling him that the animal escaped after a handler dropped the crate . Later, another story, totally different , was given to him; Minus would have fled through a gap in the body, which Nathalie Martins obviously did not accept, explaining that the space in question was only 1 cm and that her cat, weighing 7.5 kg , could certainly not not go through such a narrow opening. Here, ADP believes that the responsibility for the incident lies with the company Transavia .

Mojito, 3, died after his crate fell while being taken to the plane

The list of incidents does not end there. On August 15, a 3-year-old cat named Mojito lost his life while being transported on the Roissy tarmac to the Air France plane that was to take him to Libreville . The crate he was in had fallen from the vehicle due to the recklessness of a porter . His mistress and the latter’s children then embarked in the cabin to join his companion in Gabon. Besides Mojito, the 2nd cat and the family dog were also the trip, but they arrived safe and sound. Air France has announced that it has opened an internal investigation , according to another article in Le Parisien . </p
