The frightening ordeal of a female dog who fell in a mine shaft over 30 meters

A family and their dog have experienced a misadventure that they will not soon forget. Saturday, June 19, their walk around an old mine in Arizona (state in the southwest of the United States) turned into a tragedy. The animal has disappeared, leaving its owners anxious.

Shelby took her curiosity a little too far during a stroll. While venturing into an old mine in Mohave County, the one-year-old dog had a terrible accident: she fell into a well.

Her distraught owners tried to rescue her on their own. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain and they risked putting themselves in danger. It was impossible for them to reach the animal, trapped at a depth of thirty meters, reports Abc15 Arizona .

Rescue workers reunited Shelby and her owners

The family contacted local authorities for help quickly.

Arrived on the scene, the professionals took out their equipment and launched a rescue operation. One of the rescuers lowered into the mine shaft using a rope.

With the dog in his arms, his colleagues hoisted them up to the surface where Shelby was able to find the members of his household, relieved of the happy ending of this story.

The canine survived with minor injuries, namely a few bumps and bruises.
