He loses a finger, bitten by his own dog in the Côtes-d’Armor

While trying to separate his dog from another during a fight, a man was bitten by his own animal. He had to be hospitalized, as did the other 2 occupants of the home where the incident took place. They were, in fact, injured by this same Amstaff.

A dog injured 3 people , including its own master , last weekend in Plélan-le-Petit (22).

The incident took place on Saturday February 22 at around 11 p.m. At that time, in a house in the Costa Rican municipality, a dog fight had just started, as reported by France Bleu . At the home were the respective owners of the canines in question.

One of them, a 47-year-old man, tried to intervene to separate the dogs and end the conflict. It was there that his, an American Staffordshire Terrier , gave him a bite , tearing his finger off . The same quadruped attacked the 2 other people present: a 35-year-old man and a woman one year older in this case. They were taken to the Dinan hospital center .

For his part, the master of Amstaff was transported to the Pontchaillou University Hospital Center in Rennes (35).

As a reminder, American Staffordshire Terrier dogs are classified among the so-called dangerous categories , according to the regulations in force under the Rural Code. Their detention is strictly supervised, implying in particular the obligation to subscribe to a civil liability insurance , to obtain a certificate of aptitude and to have the dog evaluated by a licensed veterinary behaviorist.
