An association intervenes and saves 16 dogs raised in deplorable conditions. Anemic, they lacked everything!

It had been years since the owners of 16 dogs took them to the vet. Evicted from their home, they ended up parting with them to entrust them to a Californian association, which took care of them.

On October 14, the Valley Oak SPCA shelter , located in Visalia , California, took in 16 dogs that belonged to a couple who found themselves in a precarious situation , reports Visalia Times Delta .

The canines were first treated for fleas and then received dental treatment . They then underwent blood samples to assess their degrees of anemia. Also, one of the bitches is pregnant . The older one found it more difficult than the others to adapt to his new environment and refused to eat properly. However, within a few days, their health improved .

Its refuge lacking places, the Valley Oak SPCA is looking for solutions to place a few. A dog has already been adopted and 3 others sent to other structures further north, in Washington State: Panda Paws Rescue and Humane Society for Southwest Washington .
