Dog fights knife-wielding burglar in an attempt to save his family

To protect her family, a dog did not hesitate to face a burglar armed with a knife. In doing so, she was injured in the chest. His master, who also intervened, was also hit.

Marley , an 8-year-old female Labrador-Retriever cross, saved her family from an intruder assault, as reported by the New York Post .

On Friday March 26, the Newsoms were asleep when a man broke into their home in Wylie , Texas. It was dark and the parents, Taylor and Amber , couldn’t see the assailant, but they could hear the dog fidgeting.

The mother walked into the bedroom of their daughters Finley , 6, and Sadie , 4, while Taylor set out to search for the burglar. When he turned on the light, the father found himself facing Thong Pham , 53, who was trying to hide in a corner while holding a knife.

Taylor and Marley bravely faced him. The bitch bit him as his master punched him in the face. However, both were injured by the individual; the first to the chest and its owner to the arm.

Thong Pham then decided to flee. The police were able to find him and arrest him not far from there.

As for Marley and Taylor , they were treated quickly. Fortunately, their injuries are not serious. They received stitches and should make a full recovery.

She is our heroine. Without her, this guy would have walked into the children’s rooms, ”the Newsom said . The family is currently staying with relatives, the time to restore order to their home.

Amber and Taylor clarify that that night, they forgot to lock the back door. This is where Thong Pham entered. The latter will be tried for act of cruelty to an animal and aggravated violence with the use of a lethal weapon.
