Stabbed several times by a madman during his arrest, a police dog of the RAID had to be operated on urgently at the veterinary hospital of Vélizy-Villacoublay. The brave canine has been rescued, although he is due to undergo further surgeries soon.
Jakadi is no longer in danger . The dog of the RAID , the elite unit of the National Police , has been successfully operated on by veterinarians and is gradually recovering from its stab wounds inflicted by a maniac , as reported by 78Actu .
Last Thursday (January 14), the Belgian Shepherd Malinois accompanied the police to the scene of a hostage-taking , an apartment located rue Saint-Sébastien in Poissy in the Yvelines.
Negotiations with the individual, who held a person and threatened him with knives , were unsuccessful. Orders were then given to the men of the RAID and to Jakadi to go into action. While rushing towards the hostage taker, the dog was stabbed several times by the latter.
The assailant thus hit him in various places on the body, in particular on the head . The quadruped even almost lost an eye . The Belgian Shepherd Malinois was quickly taken into care after facilitating the arrest of the assailant.
Admitted to the emergency department of the Center Hospitalier Vétérinaire Advetia , in Vélizy-Villacoublay (78), he underwent surgery which saved his eye and his life . Jakadi will have to be operated again, but he is out of the woods thanks to the work of the vets.
