This family’s quick reaction saves a puppy with scabies. Wandering, he had taken refuge under the porch of their house!

Sick, tired and hungry, Lila ended up finding refuge under the porch of a house, whose occupants contacted an association to help her. The young dog is now in good hands.

On August 3, an Australian Shepherd dog suffering from mange and wandering the streets of La Porte , a town in Texas, stopped in front of a house entrance. The shade offered by the porch and the comfort, although basic, of the doormat allowed him to give himself a little respite .

Her hosts today called This Is Houston , an organization providing relief to animals in distress throughout Greater Houston . The organization explained the situation in a Facebook post.

We learn that Kourtney Crenshaw , member of the association and regularly acting as a foster family , went to look for the dog to spend the night with her. Lila was then taken to the vet .

The latter prescribed treatment with antibiotics and medicated baths to overcome the scabies, which had caused him to lose part of his coat. According to his estimates, his age would be between 4 and 6 months .

On August 7, This Is Houston gave reassuring news about the bitch, indicating that she was doing well and that a list of accessories and products she needed had been posted on Amazon . Internet users were thus able to finance them through their donations.
