5 months after having lived the worst, this dog takes a new start thanks to the vet who saved him

Last February Church was in critical condition after being dragged behind a car. Today, this miraculous dog is doing much better and even has a new loving family, that of the vet who cared for him.

Church is recovering from her physical and psychological trauma after being the victim of acts of cruelty 5 months ago. This dog was not only rescued, but he was also adopted, as reported by WJHL this Monday, July 26.

In February, Dr. Gary Andes , of the Andes-Straley Veterinary Clinic in Kingsport , TN, was shocked as he admitted the canine on an emergency basis. The animal suffered terrible injuries and was left for dead. Individuals had, in fact, dragged him behind a car in the parking lot of a church, a few steps away. A horrible scene, filmed by a surveillance camera.

The vet and his team worked hard to save his life and help him regain his health. “ We are very happy with its evolution, but it has not been easy, ” says Dr. Andes . For many weeks, Church’s daily life was punctuated by changes in bandages, treatments and veterinary collars.

The animal was also affected emotionally. It took a long time for him to relearn how to trust humans. He even had to be put to sleep during certain treatments, he was so afraid of people. Fortunately, this is no longer the case today thanks to the tremendous work of Dr Andes . “ He is getting more and more confident every day. Now, when he meets new people, he has no apprehension, he is friendly, ”assures his savior.

Church logically adopted by his veterinarian, the authorities continue to investigate

Savior who also became its new owner. Gary Andes has, in fact, announced to have adopted it. The man and the dog had become extremely close. Their bond only grew stronger as they spent time together.

After his hospitalization, Church got into the habit of accompanying the vet every day to his workplace. They couldn’t do without each other. His decision to make him the new member of his family made perfect sense. Church is now a happy dog, loved and having understood that he has nothing more to fear.

For their part, the local authorities are still trying to identify his executioners. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says it has clues that could lead him to the perpetrators of the heinous act. Investigators call on any witnesses to contact them to help them wrap up this investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
