David called in a specialist company to bring back his dog Pomelo, which he lost last month. The operation cost him several hundred euros and the confinement did not make things easier, but what matters is that the animal is once again with his family.
A month to the day after his disappearance , Pomelo is back with his family. He returned home on Saturday March 21 after a long journey of 450 km , as reported by Le Dauphiné .
David , the owner of this Border Collie cross, lives in Belcodène , not far from Aix-en-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône. On February 21, the whole family was on vacation in La Clusaz , in Haute-Savoie, when the quadruped vanished. His masters looked for him everywhere, without result. They even returned to the scene the following weekend, with no more success.
David had not heard from his dog since, until Thursday, March 19. That day, the animal had just been saved from drowning by firefighters . After the incident, he was examined by a veterinarian , who detected his ID chip . It was thanks to the latter that the specialist obtained the contact details of his owner and told him the good news.

Only David couldn’t get it back because of the confinement . Pomelo was taken care of by a kennel at first, then his master contacted Emilien Lucin , an animal transporter based in Groisy , near Annecy . Equipped with all the authorizations, the manager of the company Pet-services was able to transport the dog to his family’s home.
It cost David 600 euros , but the bill would have been about the same if he had kept him in the kennel and had gone to pick him up by car. Above all, he has found his companion and that is the main thing.
