Currently, Goldendoodles are dogs of varying sizes depending on their genetic heritage.

Beyond its cross origin, the Goldendoodle is above all a family dog . During the 90s, the creators of the breed wanted to create an alternative to other known crossbreeds of dogs with a Poodle, such as the Labradoodle or the Cockapoo, resulting from the cross with an English or American Cocker Spaniel.
The result is an affectionate and sociable dog who gets along with the whole family , parents and children . The Goldendoodle gets along so well with his family that he cannot understand or accept abandonment , even very short. A versatile dog breed, the Goldendoodle can well claim a career as a sniffer or assistance dog that will suit his anxious character perfectly. Indeed, the Goldendoodle does not support being far from its owners and needs to be with them. It is a dog made for the great outdoors who will prefer to live in the countryside , where he can take advantage of the garden to stretch his legs, rather than in the city , in an apartment where he would feel cramped .
They are easy to train, if they have been socialized from an early age !

Education

Obedient |
The Goldendoodle is by nature a dog who enjoys family time in the company of the people he loves. This is why it is necessary to offer him the basics of dog training from an early age in a climate of gentleness and confidence .
Dog socialization is the basis of dog training. In fact, it is important to give the Goldendoodle time to get to know his environment and his family , then to adapt to others : strangers or other animals … It is a very intelligent dog that will suit perfectly for novice masters as well as experienced ones , if they educate their companion in joy and good humor . Sensitive dog, positive reinforcement is the key in front of him: violent behavior or words could stress him and reduce his confidence to nothing , making him unable to build himself properly.

The Goldendoodle has a long coat that requires almost daily attention from you. Spikelets, fleas or even ticks do not target any breed in particular, which is why it is important to take care of your pet’s coat.
To facilitate the maintenance of their dog’s coat some owners decide to trim the animal’s coat, this helps reduce the frequency with which a thorough brushing of the dog is necessary. A dog whose coat has been trimmed will only need a brush stroke every 2 to 3 weeks . Naturally , the Goldendoodle’s coat generally requires 2 or even 3 brushings per week !
Too frequent washing can have harmful effects on your dog. Indeed, the bath eliminates the layer of sebum on the skin of the dog. The Goldendoodle’s long coat makes it all the more sensitive.
Brushing your dog’s teeth should be done at least twice a week, it will prevent the accumulation of pie and then bad breath.
A Goldendoodle whose fingernails snap on the ground is a Goldendoodle who deserves care. If you are able to trim your dog’s nails on your own, now is the time. Be careful, cutting your dog’s nails is not easy. It is recommended for beginners to use the expert hands of a groomer who can explain how to proceed.
The Goldendoodle’s ears , sensitive to ear infections and humidity, should be cleaned once a week .
