It is a real miracle that the dog survived ! The latter, a Belgian Malinois / American Staffordshire Terrier cross of 2 to 3 years, is now safe at the SPA of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole , after a most traumatic experience. As reported by Midi Libre, the animal was assaulted and thrown from the 3rd floor of a building located Allée de la Massana, in the Petit-Bard neighborhood (west of Montpellier).

The facts took place last Saturday (August 3). That evening, a 35-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol , had attracted the attention of residents of the neighborhood after being bitten by the dog in question. Entered into a rage, the individual hit the latter while the police , warned by the residents, arrived on the scene to proceed to his arrest. As they approached, he instigated the dog to attack them , then decided to get rid of him by throwing him away.

Then, while the police officers tried to control him, the man allegedly took them to task by insulting them and biting one of them on the thigh . He who had tried to flee through the balconies has, moreover, refused the breathalyzer test . Placed in police custody , he said he no longer remembered what had happened and that the dog was not his , but a friend’s.

After his fall, the animal was recovered and taken to the veterinary emergency room . Fortunately, as explained above, the incident did not cause him any serious injury . It was expected that the Hérault SPA lodges a complaint and becomes a civil party .
