The Pomsky is a companion dog resulting from the cross between a Pomeranian Loulou and a Husky. Despite his recent birth, he is already very popular with dog owners. To date, there are 3 types of Pomsky: F1, F2 and F3, which categorize dogs according to their ancestry.

History of the breed

Created by artificial insemination in 2012 in the United States , the idea of the breed would have germinated a year before or according to other sources in 2009 , in the imagination of dog lovers through the internet !

Today, the breed suffers from the lack of regulation concerning its standard, which gives rise to the birth of litters which can be very variable.

Physical features

There are 3 sizes of Pomsky : the small one whose height at the withers is between 20 and 30 cm and the weight between 2 and 6 kg, the medium with a height at the withers of 30 to 40 cm and a weight of 6 to 11 kg, as well as the large Pomsky (height at the withers over 40 cm and weight 12 to 20 kg) /

His coat : the Pomsky is a dog with a double coat, his well-furnished coat should not prevent the distinction of the well-drawn lines of the breed.

His head : rounded on the top, the size of the Pomsky’s head is proportional to the body.
