Stuck for 3 long days in the Welsh mountains, a dog was finally located and rescued after the mobilization of the owners, their relatives and rescue units in the area. Safe and sound, Betsy is back with her family after her mishap.
On Saturday November 14, Betsy , an English Pointer cross dog , accompanied her owners who were hiking in the mountains . They were evolving on a site as beautiful as it was unforgivable in the event of an accident, the Snowdonia massif in this case, located in North Wales.
Everything was going as normal until Betsy slips off her harness and walks away from the group, near the top of Mount Cader Idris at 893 meters, never to reappear . His masters may have combed the area, they have not managed to find it.
The dog’s family, but also their relatives and several anonymous people continued the search for 3 days , despite the difficult weather conditions .
Betsy was eventually located on particularly steep terrain , North Wales Live reports. One of the members of the Aberdyfi search and rescue team , present at the scene, was indeed guided by the moans of the quadruped. Assisted by a mountain rescue unit, he and his colleagues were able to reach the animal and bring it to safety .
The bitch was chilled and hungry , but unharmed . She was returned to her family , relieved to see her again and grateful to everyone who participated in this rescue .
