An American brewery produced a special livery of beer packs with photos of adoptable dogs displayed on the cans. The objective is to give more visibility to these animals and increase their chances of finding a family.

In Fargo, the state of North Dakota, the association 4 Luv of Dog Rescue has all the trouble to find foster families or adoption for some dogs living in her refuge. The quadrupeds in question are difficult to place because they have a particular profile; they don’t get along with other animals .

To make them better known and promote their adoption, Jerad Ryan , a volunteer member of the association for 4 years, had an idea that he brought to life in partnership with a local brewery , the Fargo Brewer Company , reports CNN . The idea is to display the photos of these dogs on the beer cans produced by the latter in order to give them visibility .

6 quadrupeds have been chosen to appear on these special packs of 6 beers. They are called Nyx , Bizzy , Jensen , Hobie , Moby and Virginia .

Packs that were offered for sale during an event organized this Monday (November 4) at the brewery. Of the 40 boxes constituting the limited series, 25 were sold during this evening. Those which remain can be bought during the whole week in progress, and the unsold items will be given to the association. In addition, part of the revenue made thanks to this operation will also be donated to him .

Like 4 Luv of Dog Rescue , a good number of associations and American shelters are reaching saturation point and are setting up various initiatives to encourage adoptions and unclog their reception structures. Some have decided to lower their adoption fees, as did the LifeLine Animal Project in Atlanta (Georgia), the Nebraska Humane Society or the Louisiana SPCA .
