His ears : set behind and of medium size, they fall to the sides of the head.
His eyes : medium in size, are brown or hazel.

Ease of grooming

The maintenance of Labrador is not very restrictive. Only brushing during the moulting periods (spring and autumn) requires a lot of time.

During the moult period , where the Labrador Retriever sheds a lot of hair, use a wire brush . Regarding his claws, he must be able to wear them regularly on hard ground. Shorten them, if necessary, using specific pliers. As the nails contain blood vessels, it is recommended to seek advice from the vet if you are a novice. 2 baths per year are sufficient .

In the Labrador Retriever, the major fragility is in the ears . They should be monitored and cleaned regularly with a product recommended by your veterinarian. Otherwise, he will be prone to chronic ear infections. Nothing should be inserted into the ear canal. As for the teeth, they must be brushed regularly in order to avoid the accumulation of tartar and the proliferation of bacteria.

Food

Be careful not to overfeed the Labrador, which appreciates food and is quite greedy. His ration of high quality croquettes must be given in 2 times . In the morning with a fairly light meal and in the evening with a larger dinner. If his diet is not monitored properly, the Labrador could suffer from obesity.
